BJP Releases Manifesto: 'Sankalp Patra' Promises 'Dignity Of Life, Quality Of Lives, And Jobs Through Investments'

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released today (14 April) its manifesto, the 'Sankalp Patra' (note of resolutions) for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The event was held at the party's national headquarters in New Delhi.

The first phase of voting is on 19 April.

Present at the occasion were Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior party members such as Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and party president J P Nadda.

The day of the unveiling has also coincided with the new year in many regions of India as also with the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar. Seen at the stage of the BJP's event were a bust of Dr Ambedkar along with a cut-out of the cover of the Constitution of India.

The Prime Minister along with others paid their respects to them before releasing the manifesto.

The manifesto has been prepared by a committee headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. In his speech, the Defence Minister specifically thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his contribution to the drafting of the manifesto.

The Sankalp Parta claims to reflect the BJP's resolve to work towards the four pillars of a developed India — youth power, women empowerment, the poor, and farmers.

"Our focus is on the dignity of life, quality of lives, and employment through investment," said the Prime Minister on the occasion.
