In the ongoing Rs 200 crore extortion case, alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has opposed Jacqueline Fernandez's plea, claiming that her application hides crucial details.

As per reports by Hindustan Times, Chandrashekhar has filed the application in Delhi's Patiala House court, expressing willingness to face any consequences if his letters to Fernandez are proven threatening.

In response to Fernandez's recent plea in the Delhi High Court, seeking restrictions on Chandrashekhar from sending letters, messages, or statements to her, the alleged conman questioned why the actress did not approach the high court last year when he sent multiple letters.

Fernandez had stated that Chandrashekhar's continuous sending of troubling letters to media platforms created a distressing environment for her.

Citing a letter from Chandrashekhar dated 15 October as "filled with unsolicited and disturbing content," Fernandez accused him of relentless pursuit and witness tampering to intimidate her during the ongoing criminal trial.

Also noteworthy is the fact that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) backed Fernandez's plea, stating that Chandrashekhar's habit of sending letters to media platforms not only directly threatens and harasses the actress but also impacts her social and professional commitments.

The case originates from an FIR filed by the Delhi Police's EOW against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, accused of cheating and extorting money from Aditi Singh, the wife of former Religare Enterprises promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.

The FIR alleges that Chandrashekhar and his associates posed as government officials, promising to secure bail for Shivinder in exchange for money.

Chandrashekhar and his wife Leena Maria Paul were arrested in September last year in connection with the case.
