Defacing Delhi Metro: Notorious Sikh For Justice Founder Implicated In Pro-Khalistan Graffiti Case

After the arrest of two individuals in connection with pro-Khalistan graffiti and slogans found on the walls of multiple metro stations in Delhi, H G S Dhaliwal, Special CP of the Delhi Police special cell, revealed that they had been promised a payment of $7,000 for their actions.
Speaking to ANI, Dhaliwal emphasised the swift resolution of the case, stating that the graffiti was painted on the evening of 26 August and the matter was resolved in less than five days, without any significant leads.
The two accused, Preetpal Singh and Rajvinder, were apprehended in Faridkot.
The police investigation also implicated Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of Sikh for Justice (SFJ), for allegedly bribing the two accused to carry out the graffiti work.
According to Dhaliwal, Preetpal had been in contact with Gurpatwant Singh Pannun for over a year through social media. Pannun had promised them a payment of $7,000, of which $3,500 had already been received.
Additionally, Pannun had sent Rs 1 lakh separately to Preetpal, as someone in his family was ill.
Earlier, Delhi Police shared pictures showing slogans inscribed on the walls of Metro stations. The slogans read "Delhi Banega Khalistan" and "Khalistan Zindabad".
An officer confirmed that SFJ also released raw footage of Delhi Metro stations defaced with pro-Khalistan slogans.
The defacement of the Metro stations occurred during the B20 Summit in India, which recently took place in the national capital.
The three-day summit, held from 25-27 August, attracted over 1,500 delegates from 55 countries.
