On Monday (30 October), the Supreme Court rejected former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's bail application, stating that one aspect related to the transfer of Rs 338 crore is tentatively established.

This development has prompted BJP leaders to suggest that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may also face an arrest.

Delhi BJP MP Manoj Tiwari stated, "Now that the Supreme Court has rejected Manish Sisodia's bail plea, it is clear that the top leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party was involved in the liquor scam. Now the arrest of the top leadership is imminent, including that of Kejriwal", as reported by Hindustan Times.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized AAP's defense, highlighting the Supreme Court's verdict, "Supreme Court said that a Rs 338 crore money trail has been established which means the money has reached the coffers of the Aam Aadmi Party. Today the question is how long will Arvind Kejriwal continue to defend these people?..."

Poonawala went on to say, "Kejriwal should resign immediately for not only defending the corrupt but for his own role in this sharab ghotala."

The Supreme Court, comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice SVN Bhatti, denied bail to Manish Sisodia and mentioned, "One aspect, with regard to the transfer of Rs 338 crore, is tentatively established. Therefore, we have dismissed the bail application."

This ruling has significant implications as it relates to cases filed by both the CBI and ED.
