Grand preparations are underway in Ayodhya for the Ram Navami, the first grand birth celebration of Ramlalla following his return to his birthplace nearly after five centuries.

With the onset of Chaitra Navratri, preparations for the grand and divine birth celebration of Ram Lalla have commenced, involving various rituals.

Throughout Navratri, the temple will be specially decorated with flowers, and at night, the temple of Ramlalla will be illuminated with lights.

Additionally, beautiful rangolis will be created within the temple premises.

Starting from the first day of Chaitra Navratri until Ram Navami, the deity will be adorned in special garments made from Khadi, embellished with gold and silver threads featuring Vaishnav symbols.

The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, is engaged in preparing for the 'surya tilak'on the deity's forehead on Ram Navami.

According to Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the Ram Temple construction committee, efforts are being made to perform the 'Surya Tilak' of Balak Ram for the first time during this birth celebration.

Mishra said that preparations are in full swing, including the four-minute solar tilak of Ram Lalla using an optomechanical system to direct sunlight onto the deity's forehead through a series of mirrors and lenses, Navbharat Times reported.

During the nine days of Chaitra Navratri at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, devotees will worship the goddess Shakti.

A silver platform and 'Kalash Sthapna' (pot establishment) will mark the beginning, followed by worship of both child deity Ram and goddess Durga for nine days, accompanied by the recitation of Durga Saptashati and offerings in the fire altar.

On the ninth day, child deity Ram will be offered a feast of 56 different dishes, and the reading of Ramcharitmanas will continue throughout the nine days.

It is estimated that around 4 million devotees will visit Ayodhya for Ram Navami this year.

The temple trust has announced that from 15 to 17 April 15, deity Ram Lalla will be available for darshan for 20 hours each day, with a four-hour break for offerings, adornment, and aarti. The temple will be closed to the public during this time.

Devotees from Ayodhya and neighbouring districts are advised to visit for darshan a day or two later.

The temple trust will broadcast live darshan of Ram Lalla on LED screens, with 100 LEDs to be installed in Ayodhya and surrounding areas, according to commissioner Gaurav Dayal.

For the convenience of devotees, the path from Ram Temple to Birla Temple will be covered with tents, carpeted, and equipped with 50 water stations.

Considering the heat, ORS packets will be distributed, and rest areas will be set up along the darshan path.
