From Structural Design To Tulips For Ceremony, Ram Mandir Got Technical Assistance From Four Institutes; Help From IITs, ISRO

Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir of Ayodhya got technical assistance from at least four leading National Institutes of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) and DST (Department of Science and Technology), the Centre disclosed on Sunday (21 January) ahead of the temple inauguration.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr Jitendra Singh said the four institutes include CSIR's Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee, National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) Hyderabad and Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT) Palampur and DST's Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) Bengaluru.
CSIR-CBRI has majorly contributed towards Ram Temple construction, while CSIR-NGRI gave significant inputs on foundation design and seismic safety.
DST-IIA provided technical support on Sun’s path for Surya Tilak, while CSIR-IHBT has made tulips bloom for the divine Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
The Structural Design of the main temple, Surya Tilak mechanism's design, design vetting of the temple foundation, and Structural Health Monitoring of main temple are credited to CBRI.
Surya Tilak mechanism is designed in such a way that the Sun rays will fall on the forehead of Lord Ram’s Idol at 12 noon on Sriram Navami day every year for about 6 minutes.
Singh said that few IITs were also part of expert advisory committee and even Space technologies from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have been used in the construction of the grandiose structure.
