As Ayodhya gears up for the historic 'Pran Pratishtha', the ceremony holds special significance as it unfolds during a sacred 48-minute period known as 'Abhijeet muhurat,' with a specific 84-second window on 22 January.
The 'Abhijeet muhurat' is the eighth part of the day, lasting for 48 minutes between sunrise and sunset.
On 22 January, this auspicious time begins at 12.16 pm and concludes at 12.59 pm.
The actual pran pratistha ceremony will take place within an 84-second timeframe, which falls within this larger auspicious window.
The significance of this chosen date aligns with Hindu scriptures, which states that Lord Ram was born during the 'Abhijeet muhurat' and under the influence of Mrigashira Nakshatra, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga.
Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, explaining the importance of the timing, highlighted that Lord Ram's birth occurred around noon when the Sun was at its peak. 22 January was chosen as it is the 12th day (Dwadashi) of Paush (the tenth month of the Hindu calendar) Shukla.
"This time is good. People will get good sense, mental peace by serving the God," he added.
