Indian Railways Achieves Record Delivery Of 1,195 MT Of Oxygen On A Single Day
- Indian Railways has delivered 1,195 MT of medical grade oxygen in a single day, surpassing its previous record of 1,142 MT LMO.

Surpassing its previous record, Indian Railways delivered 1,195 million tonnes (MT) of medical grade oxygen on 26 May, the highest single day load so far.
The previous high record was on 23 May when 1,142 MT of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) was delivered.
Oxygen expresses had started their deliveries on 24 April in Maharashtra with a load of 126 MT.
Since then, the service has reached out to as many as 15 states with the key medical aid.
Until now, 284 oxygen expresses with 1,141 tankers have completed their journey transporting more than 18,980 MT of liquid medical oxygen to various states.
Criss-crossing from cyclone hit areas of eastern to southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and also other parts of the country bringing much needed LMO relief to 15 states.
Oxygen expresses have reached out to Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Assam until now.
According to the railways, 614 MT of oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3,731 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5,077 MT in Delhi, 1,967 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 1,653 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 1,550 MT in Tamil Nadu, 1,190 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 380 MT in Kerala, 1,312 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 160 MT in Assam as of now.
Indian Railways has mapped different routes with oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the states. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO.
Running on high priority green corridor, with the highest sense of urgency, operational teams of various zones are working round the clock in most challenging circumstances to ensure that oxygen reaches in the fastest possible time frame.
Technical stoppages have been reduced to one minute for crew changes over different sections.
