Karnataka: Three Arrested After FSL Report Confirmed 'Pakistan Zindabad' Slogan Shouting At Bengaluru's Vidhana Soudha

Three individuals have been apprehended for allegedly chanting "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on 27 February, during the voting for the Rajya Sabha election.
The incident occurred as supporters of Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Nasir Hussain celebrated his victory.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ilthaz from Delhi, Munavar from Bengaluru, and Mohammed Shafi from Haveri, Karnataka.
Bengaluru's Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Shekhar T, confirmed that the arrests were made based on a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report and other evidence.
They will be subsequently produced in court, as per reports by NDTV.

According to the police statement, legal action will be taken against the accused individuals following the findings of the FSL report, circumstantial evidence, witness statements, and available evidence.
Speaking on the matter, Karnataka's Home Minister G Parameshwara emphasised that the police have been given full autonomy to address the case.
Meanwhile, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief B Y Vijayendra attributed the arrests to the persistent protests by his party inside and outside the Vidhana Soudha.
He urged further investigation into the matter, including identifying instigators and their motives.
The case stems from a video clip highlighting the alleged "anti-national" slogans during Nasir Hussain's victory rally at the Vidhana Soudha.
While the Congress government awaits the FSL report, the BJP released an analysis by a private agency claiming the authenticity of the "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans.
The Karnataka BJP also accused the Congress of propagating fake news and demanded accountability from minister Priyank Kharge.
