Kerala: Amit Shah Alleges Congress And Left Are Seeking Support From Banned PFI To Win Lok Sabha Elections

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the ruling Left in Kerala, accusing them of seeking support from the banned organisation Popular Front of India (PFI) to win in the state's Lok Sabha polls.
Shah claimed that while the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of PFI, openly endorsed the Congress-led UDF in Kerala, the LDF remained silent on the ban imposed on PFI as per a report by The Economic Times.
During a poll rally in Alappuzha Lok Sabha constituency to garner support for BJP candidate Sobha Surendran, Shah asserted, "On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to protect the country from organisations like the PFI."
Shah thundered, "Congress and Communist leaders are involved In black sand mining scam. In many scams, the involvement of CM's family members and his office has come to light. However, the Communist Party which speaks about transparency is not ready to speak a single word on its CM..."
He continued, "...There are three pavilions in the state of Kerala one is of Communist, second is of Congress and Muslim League and third is of NDA. The Communist is finished off in the entire world and so is in the country; Congress is over in the nation, and the coming moments are of BJP."
He further alleged that terrorists were protected during the rule of the Communists and the Congress in the state.
Shah also criticised the Congress and the Left, accusing them of pretending to be adversaries in Kerala and West Bengal while collaborating in other parts of the country.
Asserting that it was the time of the BJP, Shah stated that the Lok Sabha polls were aimed at electing Modi as the Prime Minister for the third time and freeing Kerala from violence.
He claimed that all surveys indicated overwhelming support for Modi throughout Kerala.
Shah's visit to Kerala coincided with the last day of public canvassing before the state goes to the polls on 26 April.
He arrived at the helipad at Alappuzha Recreation Ground via chopper and then proceeded to the Punnapra Carmel Ground, the venue of the public meeting, by road.
