Kerala Turmoil: CPI(M) Slams Governor Khan, Calls Him 'Unworthy For The Post' Amidst Black Banner Controversy

In a sharp rebuke, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M) politburo has criticised Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan for what they deem as continuous political interference and "grossly erratic behaviour", asserting that he is "unworthy of continuing in the post".
This statement comes in response to Governor Khan's recent accusation against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleging that the CM ordered the display of black banners at Calicut University, targeting the Governor.
During his visit to Kozhikode as reported by The Hindu, members of the Students' Federation of India (SFI), the student wing of the CPI(M), reportedly placed banners outside the university guest house where the Governor was staying.
The banners read "Sanghi Chancellor, go back", referring to the Governor's alleged proximity to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Governor Khan, through a statement from the Raj Bhavan, suggested that the black banners must have appeared with the Chief Minister's direction, hinting at a breakdown of the constitutional machinery in the state.
The CPI(M) politburo swiftly rejected any such accusations, asserting that the people of the state would outright dismiss attempts to impose central rule.
The politburo criticised the Governor's behaviour, especially his attempts to blame the Chief Minister for protests, deeming it inappropriate for someone holding the constitutional post of Governor.
They stated that Khan had demonstrated himself as unworthy of continuing in that role.
