Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Expansion: Prahlad Patel And Kailash Vijayvargiya Among 28 MLAs Sworn In As Ministers

Former Union Minister Prahlad Patel and BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya were among the 28 MLAs inducted into the Madhya Pradesh cabinet on Monday (25 December).
Of these, 18 will serve as cabinet ministers while the remaining 10 will take on roles as Ministers of State.
The Chief Minister Mohan Yadav led Madhya Pradesh cabinet also include five women ministers.
As many as 11 members of the new cabinet are from OBC, or Other Backward Classes, category.
Among those sworn in today were Nirmala Bhuria, Narayan Kushwaha, and Nagar Singh Chouhan. Bhuria was earlier the MoS Health and Kushwaha the MoS Home.
Sampatiya Uikey, a tribal leader, took the oath along with Vijay Shah, Karan Singh Verma, Rakesh Singh, Vishvas Sarang, Rakesh Shukla, Chaitanya Kashyap, Inder Singh Parmar, and Uday Pratap Singh.
Pradhuman Singh Tomar, previously the Energy Minister, Tulsi Ram Silawat, former MoS Water Resources, Govind Singh Rajput, the ex-Revenue and Transport Minister, and Aidal Singh Kansana were also inducted in the MP cabinet.
All four were among the 22 MLAs who supported ex-Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia when he quit the Congress in 2020, triggering the fall of Kamal Nath's government.
