News Brief
Monu Manesar (Twitter)
Monu Manesar, a gau-rakshak, who was alleged as being involved in the Haryana violence, has denied any connection to the incident.
In his statement to the media, he stated that he did not give any provocative speech and did not attend the rally that was attacked on July 31.
Further, Manesar blamed Congress MLA Mamin Khan for instigating the violence which might have been planned.
He also stressed that he works alongside the administration to protect cows. However, he expressed the Hindu community's dissatisfaction with what happened in Haryana.
A video has also emerged featuring Bittu Bajrangi, a gau-rakshak from Faridabad, where he mentions sharing the location of the rally to ensure that no one can claim ignorance of his presence.
Bittu Bajrangi specifically asks for the full location, indicating his intention to attend the rally. However, he ultimately did not show up.
Monu Manesar, who was implicated in the abduction and murder of two cattle traders in February, also claimed he would be present at the rally but was absent.
