Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (8 March) awarded the inaugural National Creators Award at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The awards, spanning 20 categories, encompassed a diverse range of fields such as storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.
Among the recipients were prominent social media influencers, including motivational speaker Jaya Kishori, American YouTuber Drew Hicks, and others.
Jaya Kishori received the Best Creator for Social Change Award, while Kabita Singh (Kabita's Kitchen) was honored with the Best Creator in Food Category Award.
Drew Hicks was acknowledged with the Best International Creator Award, and Kamiya Jani earned the Favourite Travel Creator Award.
Additionally, Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps) was recognized as the Disruptor of the Year, while RJ Raunac (Bauaa) received the Most Creative Creator-Male Award, and Shraddha Jain was honored with the Most Creative Creator (Female) Award.
Other awardees included Aridaman for the Best Micro Creator Award, Nishchay for the Best Creator in Gaming Category Award, and Ankit Baiyanpuria for the Best Health and Fitness Creator Award.
The ceremony also celebrated creators in categories such as education, fashion, technology, and storytelling, with winners like Maithili Thakur, Pankhti Pandey, Keerthika Govindasamy, and Aman Gupta.
The recipients were selected through a process involving over 1.5 lakh nominations across various categories, followed by a voting round that saw approximately 10 lakh votes cast for digital creators.
