"Not Indian, Moroccan Registered Small Aircraft": India On Plane Crash In Afghanistan After Russia Reports Missing Charter Flight

A plane reportedly crashed in a remote mountainous region of northern Afghanistan's Badakshan province on Saturday (20 January) night with no report on casualties yet.
However, calling the plane crash "unfortunate", India's Ministry of Civil Aviation clarified that this plane "is neither an Indian Scheduled Aircraft nor a Non-Scheduled (NSOP)/Charter aircraft."
"It is a Moroccan registered small aircraft," the statement further said. According to ANI, the plane was a Moroccan-registered DF-10 aircraft which crashed in the mountains of Topkhana alongside the districts of Kuran-Munjan and Zibak of Badakhshan province.
Meanwhile, Russian aviation authorities reported disappearance of a plane from radar screens over Afghanistan, which had six people on board.
According to Russian aviation authorities quoted by Reuters, the plane was a charter ambulance flight traveling from India, via Uzbekistan to Moscow. It was France's Dassault Aviation-made Falcon 10 jet manufactured in 1978.
While India claims the crashed plane to be a Moroccan-registered plane, Reuters report talks about a Russian-registered plane.
