Rameshawaram Cafe Blast Case: NIA Takes Four Islamic State Ballari Module Suspects Into Custody - All About It

In connection with the bomb explosion at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken four jailed terror suspects into custody for interrogation.
The blast, which occurred on 1 March has left 10 people injured and raised concerns about potential connections to the Islamic State's Ballari module.
The individuals detained by the NIA include Minaz alias Sulaiman, Syed Sameer, Anas Iqbal Sheikh, and Shaan Rehaman.
These suspects were arrested in December last year following extensive raids in 19 locations across five states.
Minaz, identified as the leader of the Ballari module, had allegedly conspired to carry out terror acts across various parts of the country.

The NIA's investigation into the blast has intensified, with the agency obtaining custody of the four individuals until 9 March for further interrogation.
The agency has also appealed to the public for any information regarding the unidentified suspect involved in the blast, offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for relevant leads.
Minaz, a former member of the Popular Front of India (PFI), transitioned to the Ballari module after the ban on PFI by the central government in 2022.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway to reopen the Rameshwaram Cafe, with enhanced security measures such as the installation of metal detectors and increased surveillance.
