Second Phase Of Lok Sabha Elections For 88 Seats: Rahul Gandhi, Tejasvi Surya, Bhupesh Baghel, Arun Govil In Fray

The voting in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections is being held in 88 Parliamentary Constituencies of 13 States and Union Territories today (26 April).
Five constituencies each of Assam and Bihar, three constituencies each of Chhattisgarh and West Bengal and eight constituencies each of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh will vote today.
Voting will be held today in half (14) of Karnataka's 28 constituencies and the remaining 13 constituencies of Rajasthan. The remaining one constituency each of Manipur and Tripura will also vote today.
All 20 constituencies of Kerala, seven constituencies of Madhya Pradesh and one constituency of Jammu and Kashmir are also set to vote today.
The prominent Congress leaders in the fray are Rahul Gandhi, who is seeking a second term from Wayanad, and Shashi Tharoor, who wants to win Thiruvananthapuram for the fourth consecutive time.
Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is challenging Tharoor. BJP MP Tejasvi Surya is seeking a second term from Bengaluru South while Hema Maliniwants to register a third successive win in Mathura.
Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar's brother DK Suresh wants to retain his Bangalore Rural seat, while former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy is contesting from Mandya.
Pappu Yadav, after joining Congress and merging his Jan Adhikar Party is now contesting as an Independent from Purnia. Ramanand Sagar-made Ramayan's fame Arun Govil is contesting from Meerut.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is looking for a third consecutive win from Rajasthan's Kota, while former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is contesting from Rajnandgaon.
