Congress leader and former Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot has once again criticised Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
During a press conference on Tuesday (9 May), Pilot implied that Gehlot seems to consider Vasundhara Raje, former state CM and BJP leader, as his leader instead of Sonia Gandhi.
"For the first time, I am seeing someone criticize MPs and MLAs of their own party. Praising leaders from BJP and dishonouring Congress leaders is beyond my understanding, this is absolutely wrong," Pilot said, reports Times of India.
Pilot's attack on Gehlot comes following the Rajasthan CM's claim that he managed to survive a revolt by some Congress MLAs in 2020 because Vasundhara Raje and Kailash Meghwal refused to support a conspiracy to topple an elected government through money power.
"After listening to Gehlot's speech, it seems his leader is Raje and not Sonia Gandhi," Pilot said, reports Hindustan Times.
Sachin Pilot was deputy chief minister at the time of the revolt, and he along with 18 other Congress MLAs had revolted against Gehlot's leadership in July 2020.
The month-long crisis ended after the intervention of the party high command.
Pilot was later removed from his post as deputy chief minister and state Congress president.
