Tesla Power USA Plans To Introduce 5,000 EV Charging Stations Across India By 2025

Tesla Power USA, headquartered in Delaware, recently announced that the business plans to install 5,000 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points across India by 2025 at the franchise-owned Tesla Power shops.

The company, one of the fastest-growing brands of batteries in India, recently hosted the "India Business Meet" at the Pride Plaza Hotel in Aerocity, New Delhi. John H Vratsinas, MD and Global CEO of Tesla Power USA, Kavinder Khurana, Managing Director (India) and Sandeep Avasthi, Business Head (India), all attended the event.

At the event, Khurana said: "We are gearing up for installing 5,000 two-wheeler EV charging points pan-India in the near future at our franchise-owned Tesla Power Shops. This is our commitment to encourage the use of EV's and contribute to as much sustainability of the environment as we can.”

“Our support to power these vehicles is hundred per cent and we look forward to offer them charging points support to increase the acceptance of EV two-wheelers," he added.

Additionally, the company’s India Business Head, Avasthi said: “The major factor that's helping us to spread our horizon pan India is the-longest warranty with the largest service network."

As reported, Vratsinas stated that India is leading the world in new technology and infrastructure for the rise of EVs for the first time in modern Indian history. He said, “I believe India will create the best model of EV charging infrastructure that the West will follow."

During a press conference, Khurana said that Tesla Power shops would be a hybrid model of service, sales and EV charging. While explaining, he said that “battery is fuel…we will be launching scooter with an option to either buy a battery and when you are purchasing, you can buy the size you require.”

He also told the press that the company is planning to introduce the ‘rent a battery’ option. Khurana explained the company’s plan while saying that “you buy a scooter you don’t need to buy a battery and that will reduce the cost of ownership of scooter to 50 per cent.”

Tesla Power USA have about 200 distributors and more than 250 Tesla Power Shops spread throughout at least 20 states in India.

Inverter batteries, automotive batteries, two-wheeler batteries, tractor, trucks, solar, hybrid VRLA, SMF VRLA batteries, lithium-ion batteries, home UPS, solar UPS and industrial UPS were among the company's products.

It is expected that customers, dealers, distributors and franchisees can all benefit from Tesla Power USA's high-quality goods and constant expansion policies.
