In a recent attack on the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Delhi CM Kejriwal tweeted that the number of times the Delhi LG has scolded him is more than the number of times his wife has chided him.

He called the letter written by the LG seeking accountability from his government as “love letters”.

As per Kejriwal, the number of “love letters” he has received from Delhi LG is way higher than the number of times his wife has sent him those.

Kejriwal's defence against the allegations on his government is seen as an attempt to paint the whole picture as a political revenge saga against his party. Kejriwal has blamed the Modi government for targeting the AAP, in order to stop the 'party’s forward march in Gujarat'.

In September 2022, Kejriwal and his party tried to accuse the Delhi LG of indulging in large-scale corruption when the latter was Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission. However, the Delhi Court had chided the party and ordered AAP leaders, Durgesh Pathak, Atishi Marlena and others to take down libellous posts on social media against the LG.

Now, the Delhi Chief Minister, has compared the Delhi LG with his wife.

The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is getting hit with grave charges of corruption. Since assuming office, the Delhi LG has ordered enquiries into multiple cases: from irregularities in classroom construction to financial manipulation in the power subsidy scheme.

The recent attack from Kejriwal, too, comes on the heels of Delhi LG ordering a probe into the free power scheme of the government.

With the tightening of the noose, it looks like the AAP convenor has decided to go on a complete offensive.
