Gujarat: Stone-Pelting On Bajrang Dal Yatra In Muslim-Populated Area In Narmada District, Police Uses Tear Gas

During the Shaurya Jagran Yatra organised by Bajrang Dal in the village of Selamba in Narmada district, Gujarat, stone-pelting occurred, resulting in several injuries, Dainik Jagran reported. Upon reaching the scene, the police used tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
On Friday morning (29 September), during the Bajrang Dal Yatra, a DJ was being played for the procession, and when the procession reached the Muslim-populated area, people from the locality pelted stones at the procession.
The sudden stone-pelting led to chaos, in which some Bajrang Dal volunteers were injured. After the stone-pelting, the atmosphere on both sides heated up.
In addition to heavy stone-pelting, attempts were made to set fire to vehicles. According to preliminary information, there is information about arson in two shops.
Senior officials reached the scene upon receiving information about the incident. The injured have been taken to nearby health centers for primary treatment. As of now, the situation is under control according to information provided by police officials.
