Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar (Pic Via Twitter)
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded seven MPs in the Madhya Pradesh elections including three Union Ministers. While the BJP is set to form government in the state, two of these heavyweights are trailing behind.
Union Agriculture Minister and Morena MP Narendra Singh Tomar is trailing behind Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Balveer Singh Dandotiya at Dimani.
Setback to Tomar might be a result of his son's viral videos where he was allegedly discussing deals worth crores.
Union Minister and Satna MP Faggan Singh Kulaste is trailing behind Congress candidate Chainsingh Warkade at Satna.
Meanwhile, Union Minister and Damoh MP Prahlad Singh Patel is leading from Narsingpur, along with other MPs Rakesh Singh, Ganesh Singh, Reeti Pathak, and Uday Pratap Singh leading at their respective seats.
According to the Election Commission, BJP is leading at 161 seats. This will be the second biggest victory of the BJP in recent times after 2013 where it won 165 seats.
