PM Modi at an election rally in Jharkhand (Twitter/@BJP4India)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a report of Dainik Bhaskar on X on Friday (8 December) which mentioned that over Rs 200 crore of cash was found in Income Tax department raids at locations related to Jharkhand Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu.
Modi said, "The countrymen should look at the pile of these notes and then listen to 'speeches' about the honesty of their leaders," and used laughter emojis with it.
Then reiterating his phrase of 'Modi ki guarantee', the PM added, "Whatever has been looted from the public, every penny will have to be returned, this is Modi's guarantee."
The aforementioned raids are linked to the Boudh Distillery Private Limited in Odisha and the premises raided are related to the three-time Rajya Sabha MP.
Various media reports mentioned the quantity of cash being so high that counting machines stopped working and that a truck had to be called to carry the cash.
