Prime Minister Modi Tops List Of Most Popular Global Leaders With 76 Per Cent Approval Rating

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the most admired global leader with an approval rating of 76 per cent, according to a survey by Morning Consult.
The 'Global Leader Approval Rating Tracker' from the US consultancy firm reveals that 76 per cent of people in India support PM Modi's leadership.
Meanwhile, 18 per cent do not approve of his leadership, and 6% refrained from offering an opinion.
Notably, this is a huge number by a far margin, with the runner-up approval rating belonging to Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at 66 per cent, followed by Switzerland's President Alain Berset at 58 per cent.
In past surveys as well, Prime Minister Modi consistently ranked highest in global ratings.
Meanwhile, the approval ratings of other prominent global leaders remain relatively modest.
The approval rating for US President Joe Biden is currently at 37 per cent, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's rating is slightly lower at 31 per cent. In the United Kingdom, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has an approval rating of 25 per cent, whereas France's President Emmanuel Macron has the lowest among them, with a rating of just 24 per cent.
These ratings come after impressive triumphs of the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by PM Modi, in the assembly elections of three Hindi heartland states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.
The positive election results are being seen as a huge boost for PM Modi and his party ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
