Effective Monday, the petroleum and oil marketing companies have implemented a reduction in the cost of commercial LPG cylinders.
The latest revision has resulted in a price cut of Rs 171.50 for a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder.
Now, a commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi costs Rs 1,856.5 down from Rs 2,028, according to price notification from state-owned oil firms.
In Mumbai it will cost Rs 1,808 from the earlier Rs 1,980. In Kolkata, the commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,960.50 from the earlier Rs 2,132.00. In Chennai, it will cost Rs 2,021 from the earlier Rs 2,192.
The LPG price has dropped for the second time. On 1 April, there was a reduction of Rs 91.5 in the price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder.
However, in March, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs 350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 50 per unit.
