TR Baalu files defamation case against Annamalai
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president K Annamalai will appear in person at the Saidapet Court in Chennai on 14 July in connection with the defamation case filed against him by senior Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader TR Baalu.
Prior to filing the case, Baalu had sent a notice to Annamalai seeking damages of Rs 100 crore for defamatory allegations made during the release of the DMK Files.
The court had issued the summons to Annamalai on 15 June.
In a tweet posted today (13 July), Annamalai said that he is thankful to the DMK for giving him an opportunity to put the details of corruption in front of the people through the court.
