Further, he said that the watch owned by him was previously owned by another person, Cheralanathan Ramakrishnan and the purchase was from a store in Coimbatore.

He added that while he was waving the receipts for all to see, they would be uploaded on a website for better clarity.

After declaring the details of the watch, he then played out a video which contained details of the assets of DMK ministers like Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Higher Education Minister K Ponmudi, Municipalities Minister KN Nehru, senior leaders TR Baalu, Kanimozhi and Chief Minister MK Stalin's son-in-law, Sabareesan.

The video showed the family tree of the politicians and their business connections. Details of the companies owned by them and their value etc were displayed. A comparison of the assets estimated by the research team and the details filed with the Election Commission were provided too.

More details would be released in a second part of the video to be released later and also on a website made for the specific purpose enmannenmakkal.com

The video ended with a message saying that the estimates of the assets are that of the leaders and their close relatives and the figure amounted to Rs 1343170000000.

After that he asked the following questions-

  • How is it that both Udhayanidhi Stalin and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi were both directors in Noble Private Limited at different times, before Chief Minister Stalin signed an MoU with the company during his visit to Dubai?

  • Why is Sabareesan a partner with Venkatesh, when St Georges Bank and an associated company, WestPac have been accused of money laundering in various countries?

Annamalai then said that he would make a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate a case of Chief Minister Stalin receiving Rs 200 crore as bribe from Alstom for favours during a Chennai metro tender process in 2011.
