    What happened: Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda was reported to be dead of a drug overdose in Lahore.

    • A day after this, his close associate gangster Happy Sanghera was known to have been killed in Italy on Monday.

  • Another Khalistani terrorist Kulwinderjit Singh, alias Khanpuria, was deported from Thailand and arrested by the NIA and Punjab Police was given the custody.

  • Behind the scene: Canadian Khalistani gangster Lakhvir Singh Landa has claimed the credit for Sanghera's murder.

    • However, the buzz is that these deaths have something to do with Indian intelligence agencies working against the Khalistani dream.

  • The lack of information around Rinda's death is further pushing people to believe that is in some way linked to Indian agencies.

  • 3. 📘 An excerpt about Lachit Barphukan

    Lachit Barphukan is known to have stood up against the Mughal army for himself and his clan.

    • He led the Ahom force to victory over a numerically larger and superior Mughal army at Saraighat.

  • However, he passed away shortly after the battle as he fought disregarding his illness and fever which his body could not take.

  • Vikram Sampath's latest book Bravehearts Of Bharat: Vignettes from Indian History is all about such heroes who valiantly fought against invaders for their rights, faith and freedom.

    • It narrates the story of fifteen such brave men and women of Bharat, who never succumbed to the challenges of invaders.

    Stunning! Madhya Pradesh Tourism shared an image of Dhawajhandi female from Mukki zone, Kanha tiger reserve.

    • The image was clicked by Varun Thakkar who is a wildlife photographer by passion and a businessman by profession.

  • Dhawajhandi is one of the most popular tigress of Kanha with attitude and is coded as T27, but popularly known as DJ.

  • The story: T27 gets her name from an area where she used to be sighted regularly. Years ago tribals used to tie prayer flags (Jhandi) on the Dhawa Tree and commonly the area is still referred to as Dhawajhandi.

    • Her sightings are frequent in tourism areas of Mukki and peripheral areas of Kisli zone.

  • She mated with Chhota Munna and had four cubs. However, only two cubs remain alive from DJ’s last litter.

  • 5. ✈️ Remembering the 'Sabre Slayers'

    On 22 November 1971, four 'Young Guns' of 22 Squadron, flying Gnats, intercepted and shot down three Sabres of Pakistan Air Force in Boyra.

    • Thus, this day is also remembered as Boyra day and the squadron got the epithet of 'Sabre Slayers'.

  • The shooting down of three PAF F-86 Sabre jets in a single aerial battle is classified amongst the top five aerial battles in aviation history.

  • The heroes: The four 'Sabre Slayers' - Flight Lieutenant RA Massey, Flight Lieutenant Sunit Soares, Flight Lieutenant MA Ganapathy and Flying Officer D Lazarus - took off from Dumdum (Kolkata).

    • Three of them were honoured with Veer Chakra. Fighter Controller Flight Lieutenant KB Bagchi of 253 SU was awarded Vayu Sena Medal.
