2. 🎙️ Ravish Kumar resigns from NDTV
The resignation comes a day after Prannoy and Radhika Roy quit as directors of NDTV promoter group RRPR Holding Private Limited.
The events are in the backdrop of the Adani Group set to take over the ownership right of NDTV, following the closure of its open offer to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake in the media group.
Kumar said that his YouTube channel is his new address and urged everyone to fight the slavery of so-called "Godi Media".
Ravish Kumar joined NDTV in 1996, and has been associated with its channels since.
He anchored several news-based shows on NDTV India, such as Hum Log, Ravish ki Report, Des Ki Baat, and Prime Time.
While resigning he said, "You will be able to see me on my new YouTube channel. You won't be able to hear 'namaskar main Ravish Kumar' on NDTV ever again."
3. 📘 A novel about Parsis
The Magicians of Mazda is a novel that navigates between time and geography.
It travels backwards, through the epochs of Islamic jihad, Macedonian revenge, Achaemenid glory, messianic birth, Aryan schism-to the Vedic fount from where it began.
It tells the story of Parsis who arrived at the port of Sanjan in Gujarat in 720 CE.
Ashwin Sanghi is the author of multiple books like The Rozabal Line, Chanakya's Chant, The Krishna Key, The Sialkot Saga, Keepers of the Kalachakra, and The Vault of Vishnu.
He has been vocal about Hindu civilisation and the civilisational and spiritual renaissance that India is experiencing right now.
His novels are known for being fast-paced and gripping.
4. 📸 EOS-06 begins serving images
First-day images were received from EOS-06 on 29 November at NRSC, Shadnagar.
The images show the Himalayan region, Gujarat Kutch region and the Arabian Sea.
They were captured by the Ocean Color Monitor (OCM) and Sea Surface Temperature Monitor (SSTM) Sensors.
ISRO Chairman S Somanath yesterday released these images.
PSLV-C54/EOS-06 was successfully launched on 26 November.
It is the 56th mission of ISRO's polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV).
The mission injected Oceansat-3 and eight nano-satellites into their intended orbits.
Oceansat-3 is an Earth-observation satellite (EOS) and third in the series of satellites aimed at ocean observations.
It is equipped with an OCM, scatterometre and SSTM.
It will help in optimising utilisation of our maritime resources.
It is estimated to have a mission life of five years.
5. 🙏 Crowd bids adieu to Lakshmi
Lakshmi, the elephant of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Puducherry died yesterday due to a suspected case of cardiac arrest.
The 32-year-old jumbo collapsed when she was on the road for her regular walks and died.
Her dead body was taken back to the temple and arrangements were made for her last rites.
Final procession of Lakshmi was joined by a crowd of thousands of people today.
People were seen clicking her last pictures and crying for the loss.
Devotees showered the truck with flowers in which she was being carried and walking behind the decorated truck.
