I've got my friend Banuchandar driving all the way from Delhi to Nagaland. As you may know, we're calling it Hridayapath.
His route is designed to go through nearly a dozen of India's poorest districts. We wanted Banu to go here because amidst all the cacophony of VIP constituencies and election buzz these areas tend to get ignored.
Also, we didn't want to bring you our analysis alone. We wanted to bring you perspectives of the people living in these parts.
What do people living in these poorest areas of India think of development, aka vikas? Do they benefit from govt schemes? Can they connect with the national election rhetoric?
