Atiq Ahmed And Brother Ashraf Shot Dead In Prayagraj; Shots Caught On Camera; Section 144 Imposed In UP

Notorious mafia-turned-politician of Uttar Pradesh, Atiq Ahmed, has been shot dead in Prayagraj, eastern UP, along with his brother, Ashraf.
The shooting took place while the duo was being taken to the Prayagraj Medical College for a medical scan. They were shot when near the college itself.
The shooting took place in the presence of media, and the shooters have been apprehended by the police.
The shots have in fact been caught on camera.
As can be seen, Atiq and Ashraf were shot dead in the presence of police and media. They were speaking to the journalists and one of the siblings can be heard saying "main baat yeh hai ki Guddu Muslim. . ." before the first shot was fired.
Guddu Muslim was caught on CCTV cameras throwing grenades when Atiq's gang was shooting at Umesh Pal.
Atiq, who was incarcerated at Sabarmati jail, was in Uttar Pradesh on remand in the Umesh Pal murder case.
Section 144 imposed
Section 144 has been imposed in all districts of Uttar Pradesh and the state police is taking out flag marches in many areas.
ANI has also reported that UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for the formation of a three-member enquiry commission to look into the matter.
