The political tussle, in Chhattisgarh, between senior Congress leader and current Health Minister T S Singh Deo and the Chief Minister Bupesh Baghel grows further, as Deo spoke out against his party’s government on Tuesday (7 February).

While speaking at a party meeting he said that 99 per cent of the Congress blockheads have complained that their voices are not being heard.

“Under the Congress rule, our voices are not heard as we expected, or as BJP functionaries were heard under BJP rule. Almost all block-heads said the same thing to me,” Deo added.

Considered a chief minister contender, TS Singh Deo had earlier said that he was pushed to the sidelines and a plan to share the chief minister position, on rotation, was never acted upon.

His words have come at a time when Assembly elections are due to be held in a few months.

When asked whether he would consider joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Deo had previously said that he wouldn’t do so, as that would be against his ideology and philosophy.

On whether he would formulate a new party, he denied it as 'it would cost a lot of money'.

Deo, who is the titular Maharaja of the Surguja state, has been with the Congress since 1983 and an MLA from Ambikapur since 2008. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Chhattisgarh Assembly during the last tenure of the BJP.
