Delhi unit of the BJP is compiling a list of venues, particularly state-governed schools, for Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit during his anticipated visit to the capital.

Sarma may visit Delhi around 15 April, reported The Indian Express.

CM Sarma, comparing himself to Assam war hero Lachit Barphukan and Arvind Kejriwal to Aurangzeb, responded to the Delhi CM's attack by claiming that basic facilities were lacking under the AAP in Delhi, during a speech in the state Capital on Sunday.

“With Kejriwal, we will go on a tour of Delhi, but not Lutyens and South Delhi. Will go with Kejriwal to those places where I will take, where 80% of Delhi’s people live. Kejriwal has made life hell for the slum dwellers of Delhi. There are no basic facilities” Assam CM tweeted Monday.

Kejriwal extended an invitation to Sarma for tea and lunch. Sarma agreed to visit Kejriwal's residence in Delhi. He said that he would pay a visit as soon as he receives a “formal letter.”

Delhi BJP sources said they are gathering a list of sites such as slums, areas on the Yamuna floodplains, and government schools for Sarma's visit, according to the report.

According to a party source, the report said, no area in the city offers satisfactory basic facilities, and there is no reliable government school for a child's future. As a result, they have begun compiling a list of such locations.

“We will take him especially to city schools across the length and breadth of Delhi for him to see their actual condition along with the media,” he said.

During a speech in Guwahati, Delhi's Chief Minister, Kejriwal, stated that over the past 7-8 years he had arranged employment for 12 lakh children. He also emphasised that the AAP party prioritises the welfare of the common citizen, and if they come to power in Assam, each and every child would receive a job opportunity.

Sarma, responding to Kejriwal, has said: “Arvind Kejriwal said that he gave 12 lakh jobs in Delhi, but when we asked an officer about this in Delhi, he said that only 1.5 lakh posts are sanctioned in Delhi government.”
