In a recent development, several Congress candidates in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh have raised complaints about attempts of 'internal sabotage' by some Congress functionaries.

It has been alleged that several people, in the control room established by Congress for directing electoral affairs, have been indulging in anti-party activities and attempting to covertly help Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

It has been reported that over 50 candidates have complained to party high command about the same.

Earlier Madhya Pradesh Congress has also been in news for disarray among party leaders, discontent among ticket aspirants, internal party conflicts, and allegations of a flawed election campaign.

Demonstrating their dissatisfaction, many party workers outside the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee office in Bhopal have also set fire to effigies of former chief minister Digvijaya Singh and his son Jaivardhan Singh, last week.

Protests have even extended to the residence of state Congress chief Kamal Nath and various constituencies in Morena, Datia, Mandsaur, and Shujalpur.
