'Shabd Rahul Ke, Sanskaar Sonia Ke': Smriti Irani Slams Congress Over Srinivas BV's Remarks In A Video That's Going Viral

BJP politician Smriti Irani criticised Rahul and Sonia Gandhi for remarks made about her by Youth Congress President BV Srinivas at a Congress event.
“Shabd Rahul Gandhi ke hain, sanskaar Sonia Gandhi ke hain, bas zuban Yuva Congress ki hai (The words are Rahul Gandhi’s, the values are Sonia Gandhi’s, only the mouth belongs to Youth Congress),” Irani said.
She accused former Youth Congress chiefs of making indecent comments, stating that until this culture changed, any Congress politician seeking promotion would do the same. "He's not the first," she said.
On 26 March, a video clip emerged purporting to show a member of the party making controversial remarks. The speaker is heard in Hindi, accusing the BJP of fuelling inflation. He refers to a previous situation where the same people claimed there was an “inflation witch” causing problems.
He then goes on to criticise BJP's Smriti Irani, saying that 'Smriti Irani has become a little mute and deaf. That witch (Daayan)… Inflation witch (Mehengaai Daayan) has been made a darling and made to sit in the bedroom.”
BJP strongly criticised Srinivas for the clip and labeled Congress as a "cesspool of misogyny".
A tweet from BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused Congress of a pattern of abusive behavior towards those who have achieved success through hard work.
“First abuse OBC, then courts, then throw papers at Speaker; abuse journalists now abuse women!
Time & again, Congress has abused those who have risen up to the top by strength of their hard work – they called Rashtrapati as Rashtrapatni; they said Draupadi ji has evil mindset; they abused even the mother of PM; they chanted ‘Modi ki Kabr’ khudegi.
The words are from BV Srinivas but the soch (thought) is of Rahul Gandhi.

Is this ‘Ladki hoon lad sakti hoon’ or a party of such disgusting misogynists?” he tweeted.
The Youth Congress has refuted accusations made against Srinivas, accusing BJP members of sharing an altered video of his speech to damage the party's reputation.
