In the latest episode of Swarajya Standard, a discussion on the surrogacy bill.
It's hard to find much that is right with the surrogacy bill in India.
The bill’s intention apparently is to avoid ‘exploitation of poor women’ who are lured into being commercial surrogates for monetary compensation. But clearly that purpose is the last thing that will be served by banning commercial surrogacy.
We got Gita Aravamudan, journalist and author of the book Baby Makers: The Story of Indian Surrogacy, to join us on this episode of Swarajya Standard. Do watch and leave your comment below.
