US: Palestine Supporters Harass Indian-American Congressman Thanedar At Midnight For His Pro-Israel Stance

Indian-American Democratic Congressman Shri Thanedar, representing Michigan, has faced harassment from pro-Palestine protestors due to his pro-Israel stance amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.
On Saturday (16 December) night, demonstrators gathered outside his residence, honking car horns, and shouting, accusing him of "silence" regarding Palestinian casualties in Gaza as reported by Hindustan Times.
Thanedar shared a video on social media showing the disturbance with protestors claiming he is complicit in the Gaza bombings.
On a post on X, he stated, "This is my home at 3am," with a video showing cars lined in the street outside his home, an individual waving a cloth-like material, and others screaming through megaphones.
The protesters warned of consequences, emphasising their displeasure with his perceived inaction.
Notably, Thanedar has been a vocal supporter of Israel, expressing unequivocal support for the country following a recent attack by Hamas terrorists.
On his website, he wrote, "In this time of great international uncertainty, it is now more important than ever before to reaffirm as a people, and as a nation, our unequivocal support for the state of Israel, the lone Democracy in the Middle East and one of our closest, and strongest, allies across the globe."
In response to previous disruptions at a Christmas party he attended, he posted on X, “I love and value the First Amendment, and encourage civil disagreement, but violence of any kind is unacceptable. And if these protestors think hurting senior citizens at a Christmas party is going to win people over to their side, they are very mistaken."
