Eight Years Of Swarajya: Truly Modern And Uniquely Indian

Swarajya turns 8

Dear Reader,

Today marks a very special day for all of us at Swarajya. It is exactly eight years back, on a fine Thursday morning in 2014, Swarajya 2.0 came into being.

Close to 3000 days, we’ve not rested. On any given day, we strive to deliver about 10 to 15 high quality articles with expert insights and views. Right from 7AM in the morning to 10PM late night we operate to ensure you, the reader, get to see what is just right.

And today is no different, for that matter. New day, same hustle.

However, this is rather a moment to look at what's in store, let’s say, for the next 10 years. Especially, bearing in mind, the challenges of this new decade we’ve stepped into.

We’ve set out to do what many would call outlandish.

How, you ask?

Here’s an example: speaking up for India's incredible art-architectural heritage is something that is very close to the heart of everyone at Swarajya. We're extremely and equally stoked to be doing sharp pieces, long form articles, pointing out the incredible opportunities that our heritage offers, making videos on important issues and so on.

While celebrating heritage, we've also been keen to aggressively highlight some of the problems that prevent an active ecosystem of producers and custodians of art to develop in India. We've pointed out the absolute lack of interest by governments to professionally preserve and promote archaeological sites. We're also keen that governments quit controlling and administering India's greatest storehouses of cultural practices, architectural wonders and places of worship - our temples.

This is just one example, dear reader. So while we’re at it, the plan is to make the most of this moment.

We’re going to triple down on almost every possible way to bring you stories that shouldn't be easily shrugged off.

But for us to continue doing what we do, we need your backing in the form of readership and subscriptions. You can do so for as little as ₹99/month or ₹699 for a 1-year subscription (40% OFF ends tonight) via this link.

Please consider supporting us by clicking here - this will go a long way in our cause.

Thanks a lot,

The team at Swarajya

PS: Alternatively, you can become a lifetime subscriber and get uninterrupted access for the next 10 years - this is a great way to support our efforts.

An Appeal...

Dear Reader,

As you are no doubt aware, Swarajya is a media product that is directly dependent on support from its readers in the form of subscriptions. We do not have the muscle and backing of a large media conglomerate nor are we playing for the large advertisement sweep-stake.

Our business model is you and your subscription.  And in challenging times like these, we need your support now more than ever.

We deliver over 10 - 15 high quality articles with expert insights and views. From 7AM in the morning to 10PM late night we operate to ensure you, the reader, get to see what is just right.

Becoming a Patron or a subscriber for as little as Rs 1200/year is the best way you can support our efforts.
