Prime Minister Modi To Launch Projects Worth Over Rs 71,850 Crore During His Five-State Visit From 13-15 September

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (13 September) began a three-day visit to Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar, during which he will be launching projects across infrastructure, healthcare, and energy sectors worth over Rs 71,850 crore, reported NDTV.

His tour starts in Aizawl, Mizoram, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore. These include the Rs 8,070 crore Bairabi-Sairang New Rail Line, linking Mizoram’s capital to the Indian Railways network for the first time.

He will also flag off three express trains — Sairang-Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang-Guwahati Express, and Sairang-Kolkata Express.

Road projects like the Aizawl Bypass, Thenzawl-Sialsuk Road, and Khankawn-Rongura Road are also on the agenda.

In Manipur, Modi will lay foundation stones for projects worth Rs 7,300 crore in Churachandpur and inaugurate works worth Rs 1,200 crore in Imphal, addressing gatherings at both venues.

The PM then heads to Assam for a two-day visit involving projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore.

In Guwahati, he will attend the birth centenary tribute of Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika, release a Rs 100 commemorative coin, and launch his biography Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika. An 18-minute musical tribute featuring 1,200 artistes will honour the maestro.

On 14 September, Modi will lay the foundation stone for Darrang Medical College and allied institutions worth Rs 567 crore. He will also launch the Rs 7,000 crore Narengi-Kuruwa bridge and Guwahati Ring Road, and inaugurate a Rs 5,000 crore bamboo-based ethanol plant at Numaligarh refinery.

On 15 September, he will open the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference in Kolkata before traveling to Bihar.

At Purnea, he will inaugurate the new airport terminal and unveil projects worth around Rs 36,000 crore, along with launching the National Makhana Board.
