In a drive to create responsibility among the public regarding the menace the ticketless travel, Indian Railways has now deployed the Lannisters from the famed HBO series, Game of Thrones, reports News18.
Asking the commuters to be aware of touts and buy the tickets themselves, the Western Railway has tweeted a message in the same regard.
Be a wise Lannister, always travel with a ticket. Western Railway urges you to keep an appropriate ticket at all times avoid buying tickets from touts. #ForTheThrone #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/3yogzDsf6Z

Game of Thrones is a popular fantasy TV series which has a millions-strong fandom across the world. The Lannisters are one of the ruling families of the ‘seven kingdoms’ of Westeros, with their base of power at Casterly Rock. They are also notable for being extremely wealthy, with many common sayings referring to the same, such as, “A Lannister always pays his debts”.
Taking note of the ever increasing pop culture trends among the young people in particular, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in February posted a video titled Tera Time Ayega in twitter. This was an apparent reference to Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy to warn the passengers who travel ticket less.
