With successful operation of the Tejas Express on the Mumbai-Goa route, Indian Railways is now all set to introduce its second Tejas train on the busy Chennai-Madurai route, Mint has reported.
These trains, which have been manufactured by the ICF (Integrated Coach Factory) in Chennai, come fitted with swanky features like end-to-end air conditioning, modern touch-enabled entertainment systems, smart windows and modular toilets.
“Railways is rolling out 23 new coaches packed with modern facilities such as comfortable leather seats, motor-operated windows & personal infotainment LCD screens,” Railways Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted.
The trains will also be installed with a GPS (Global Positioning Systems)-enabled passenger information system.
