It was earlier reported that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had completely recovered from Covid-19 and tested negative for the virus on Sunday.
However, officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) have now clarified that the Minister has not been tested again yet since he only was tested positive seven days back, news agency ANI tweeted.
"#COVID19 test of Home Minister Amit Shah has not been conducted so far," read the ANI tweet quoting an MHA Official.
It is worth being noted here that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and parliamentarian Manoj Tiwari had earlier tweeted claiming that Shah had been tested negative for novel coronavirus.
However, Tiwari has now deleted his tweet.

The former BJP president had tested positive for novel coronavirus on 2 August. Although he did not have any major Covid-19 symptoms, he had been hospitalised as advised by doctors, Shah had said.
"On getting the initial symptoms of corona, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am being Shadmitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors," he had tweeted on 2 August.
Shah became the first senior minister from the Government of India to have contracted the highly transmissible virus.
