Around 85,000 People In 18-44 Age Group Receive Maiden Dose Of Vaccine On Day One, Phase Three Of Nationwide Drive

As many as 84,599 individuals in the age group of 18-44 years were administered their maiden dose of COVID-19 vaccine on the first day of the third phase of the nationwide inoculation drive, reports Hindustan Times.
The country has so far administered 15,66,37,825 doses of Covishield and Covaxin vaccines to the people. Yesterday alone, on the 106th day of the nationwide vaccination drive, 16,48,192 vaccine doses were administered across India.
Among those aged between 45-60 years, so far, 5,32,80,782 people have received their first dose, while a total of 40,08,078 people have also received their second dose. For the people aged more than 60 years, 5,26,13,700 have received their first dose, while 1,14,40,577 have also received their second dose.
It should also be noted that as many as 94,28,060 healthcare workers have received their first dose of the vaccine, while 62,64,919 of them have also received their second dose. Among frontline workers, 1,26,39,303 of them have received their maiden doses, while 68,77,80 have received their second dose as well.
