As per Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, DGP Gupteshwar Pandey spoke to Sushant's father K K Singh today morning and he gave his consent for a CBI probe.
This recommendation comes a few days after the Bihar Police dispatched a team to Mumbai to investigate charges levelled by Sushant's father in his complaint.
The Bihar Police though has been complaining about a lack of cooperation and support from its Mumbai counterparts which has included the investigation team members having to travel in auto-rickshaws. The BMC had also forcibly quarantined a senior IPS officer who was sent by the Bihar Police to lead the investigation.
Many supporters of Sushant Singh Rajput have been fervently demanding a CBI probe into the actors death.
