The Nitish Kumar led Bihar government has recommended a CBI probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, JDU spokesperson Sanjay Singh said on Tuesday (4 August), ANI has reported.
As per Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, DGP Gupteshwar Pandey spoke to Sushant's father K K Singh today morning and he gave his consent for a CBI probe.
This recommendation comes a few days after the Bihar Police dispatched a team to Mumbai to investigate charges levelled by Sushant's father in his complaint.
The Bihar Police though has been complaining about a lack of cooperation and support from its Mumbai counterparts which has included the investigation team members having to travel in auto-rickshaws. The BMC had also forcibly quarantined a senior IPS officer who was sent by the Bihar Police to lead the investigation.
Many supporters of Sushant Singh Rajput have been fervently demanding a CBI probe into the actors death.
