Commercial flights taking off from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) will be partly affected from 20-24 February due to the Aero India 2019 exposition which is to be held at the Yelahanka Air Force Station, reports Deccan Herald.
The airport’s operator Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has formally released the cancellation timings for flights.
BIAL has stated that it is working in close conjunction with airlines whose scheduled flights will be affected so that minimal disruption is caused.
Passengers are not likely to face much inconvenience as airlines will announce any change in operations well in advance. To tackle the extension of commute times for passengers, BIAL has stated that the provision of ancillary support via airport taxis and bus services will be modified accordingly.
BIAL has issued an advisory for passengers to check the status of their flights with their respective carriers; all information regarding changes in airport operations will be made accessible on its official website.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
