To help students passing class 12 make the right choices in career, CBSE has launched a compendium of colleges and courses, reports Times of India.
The book names as ‘Compendium of Academic Courses +2’ enlists 113 different courses across fields. Each combination lists out the course, the universities or colleges where it is available and the eligibility criteria to gain admission into it.
Apart from the older ones like mechanical or aerospace engineering, the book offers new courses on artificial intelligence, machine learning etc.
“As a sequel to the ongoing initiatives, CBSE has prepared a compendium of suggestive courses for students which will help them get information about various course choices, institutes and combinations available in higher education beforehand after class 10 itself, ” said chairperson, CBSE, Anita Karwal in an official statement
“The purpose of this compendium is to generate enough curiosity in the students to explore further on the scope, possibilities, avenues, for each of these courses and to look for other options beyond these courses as well,” she added.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
