A Delhi Police head constable, identified as Ratan Lal, has lost his life and one DCP has been injured during clashes between pro-CAA and anti-CAA protesters in Delhi's Gokulpuri area reports ANI.

In New Delhi's Maujpur, stone-pelting between pro and anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protesters started on Monday with people from both sides pelting stones at each other. The miscreants also pelted stones at some of the homes.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal said, "Instructed Delhi Police and Commissioner of Police to ensure that law and order are maintained in North East Delhi. The situation is being closely monitored. I urge everyone to exercise restraint for the maintenance of peace and harmony."

Earlier, an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protester during a violent protest in Delhi’s Jaffarabad area opened fire in an attempt to intimidate the cops countering the mob.
