Delhi Police Personnel Distribute Food To 1.5 Lakh Residents Since The Start Of Lockdown, Launch Helpline Numbers

Delhi Police has provided food to over 1.5 lakh persons since the imposition of 21-days-long nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Delhi Police has also operationalised helpline numbers 112 and 23469526 using which anyone in a state of emergency or problem can reach out to the force seeking assistance. The development was made public by Delhi Police's Public Relations Officer (PRO) MS Randhawa.
The development comes as over the recent days the nation witnessed thousands of migrant and daily wage workers gather in large numbers to flee from Delhi their home States after the lockdown was announced.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases in Delhi have surged to 97 as per Delhi government's Department of Health. Of these, 25 new cases were reported on Monday (30 March) alone.
