Delhi Violence: SIT Identifies Head Constable Ratan Lal’s Murderer, Other Violent Attackers Involved In The Riots

The two Special Investigation Team (SIT) under Delhi Police crime branch that were constituted to investigate the violence in the northeast Delhi has made a major breakthrough and have identified the killers of Head constable Ratan Lal, reports News18.
Additionally, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has also identified the attackers who seriously injured DCP Shahdara IPS Amit Sharma and Delhi police officer ACP Anuj Sharma.
The SIT now has names and addresses of more than 6 people who were involved in this attack and are preparing to arrest them.
On 24 February, violent clashes are said to have erupted between anti-CAA and pro-CAA protesters and Lal while attempting to pacify the mob was hit on his head with a stone.

News18 has reported that the crime branch looked at crucial CCTV footage to identify the killer and attackers. Local surveillance, CCTV footage and information from eyewitnesses also helped in identifying the rioters.
