Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and senior Congress party leader Digvijay Singh alleged on Saturday (31 August) that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bajrang Dal receive money from Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), reports Asian News International (ANI).
Further adding to his controversial claim, Singh asserted that more non-Muslims spy for ISI than Muslims. Singh made the comments while speaking with reporters in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Singh blamed the two for ending democracy and ‘Kashmiriyat’, asserting that they had paid no heed to ‘Insaniyat’.
Singh who has been known to issue controversial statements also added, "If Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Sheikh Abdullah had not trusted former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru then Kashmir would not have been with us. So it is important to gain the trust of the people of Kashmir."
